Files are processed in your browser

This tool reads HEIC and HEIF photos, decodes them locally and creates JPG or PNG copies in your browser. The decoder is a WebAssembly build served from this website. Selected files, their contents, filenames and any metadata are not uploaded to a server by the tool.

The website server delivers the HTML, styles, scripts, WebAssembly binary and license files. Choosing files starts local processing, not a file upload. No account is required.

Temporary data and saved copies

File data and decoded image pixels are held temporarily in browser memory while the tool runs. The conversion worker is stopped when you clear the selection, start a new conversion or leave the page, and generated preview URLs are released. This does not promise immediate physical erasure from browser or operating-system memory.

Converted images are saved to your device only when you choose a download button or download the ZIP. They are new copies; the original HEIC file is not modified. Your browser may cache website assets, but those assets do not contain your selected photo.

Cookies, analytics and storage

The tool does not store photos or conversion results in local storage, IndexedDB or cookies. The website may use Cloudflare Insights for traffic analytics. Analytics requests concern the page itself and do not include selected file contents, filenames or decoded pixels. The tools do not build a database of files or device fingerprints.

Website requests and hosting logs

Loading any website sends ordinary connection information to its server and configured hosting infrastructure. This can include your IP address, requested URL, request time, browser headers and referrer information. The hosting server or a configured proxy may record access or security logs.

Log collection, retention, access and hosting location depend on the deployment's server configuration. The browser application does not control those settings. The local-processing statements above concern selected files and their metadata; they do not mean that visiting the website creates no network requests or server logs.

Information shown on screen

Selected file names and converted previews may contain private or sensitive information. Be mindful of screen sharing, screenshots and other people with access to your device. This tool does not determine whether you have permission to process or share a photo.

Documentation and tool links open third-party websites only when you follow them. Those websites have their own privacy practices and receive ordinary browser connection information. Selected file contents and metadata are not included in the application's links.

Your choices

You can use the tool without an account, stop a conversion with Cancel, clear the selected files and close the page. You control any output saved on your device. Browser caching and history can be managed through your browser settings.

Changes to this policy

This policy describes the supplied version of the tool. Its wording may be updated when the tool's data handling changes. Changes to hosting, analytics or other services must be reflected in the policy before they are introduced.
