Local processing
Your regular expression, flags, test text and replacement are processed in your browser. The application does not send your pattern, your text, your replacement or the results to a server. No account is required. Input and results are held temporarily in browser memory; clearing them or leaving the page releases this application's references, not necessarily every browser or operating-system copy. A downloaded file is saved only when you choose to save it. Imported files must be UTF-8; any downloaded replacement is written as UTF-8.
Storage and website requests
The application does not store your pattern, text or results in local storage, session storage or IndexedDB. The website may use Cloudflare Insights for traffic analytics; your pattern, text, replacement and results are not passed to those analytics. Your browser may cache static website assets such as the stylesheet and script, not your test text. Loading the site requests HTML, styles, JavaScript and a favicon; servers and proxies may record the IP address, request time, URL and browser headers in access or security logs. The browser tool does not control log retention or hosting configuration.
Screen and third-party links
Text or matches visible on your screen, or saved to your device, may be sensitive; the highlights and downloads are for your own use. Links to other pages are followed only when you choose them, and no pattern or text is placed in those links.
Changes
This policy may change if the tool or hosting practices change.
