JSON to Zod Schema

Terms of Service

About this tool

This free browser utility turns a JSON sample into a TypeScript module of Zod schemas and lets you copy or save it. Use it only if you agree to these terms.

Your responsibility

You retain ownership of your data. Pasting JSON or selecting a file does not grant permission to publish it. Only process data you are entitled to use. Review and test the generated module in your own project before relying on it, and keep your original input and a backup.

Limits

The generated schemas describe the one sample you provide and are not a contract for other data. An empty array becomes z.array(z.unknown()); array elements are merged with missing keys optional; mixed values become a union; null becomes z.null() or .nullable(); the .strict() option rejects keys that are not in the schema; and formats such as email and ISO date-time are pattern guesses that are off by default. Input is limited to 5 MB, 200 levels of nesting and 2000 named object schemas, arrays are sampled up to 1000 elements, and generation runs on the browser main thread so very large input may briefly block it. Only UTF-8 input is supported and downloads are UTF-8. The output targets Zod 4, which you install and run in your own project.

Privacy

Pasted JSON and selected files are processed locally as described in the Privacy Policy. Your original input is not modified.

Availability

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without a guarantee of compatibility or uninterrupted operation. Nothing here limits rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Components

This page uses only built-in browser features and includes no third-party runtime libraries. The generated module imports the zod package, which is not bundled here.

Changes

Features and these terms may change; updated terms apply to later use.
